A B D E C

A – Is America a plutocracy?  Is Canada?  In which direction do you believe America will move under Trump?

B – Loretta asks “If the world economy has a major failure, what might you consider?” but worries it might be too complex.  I would say all world slumps have can be reduced to a failure of effective demand – Be it due war, economics, climate;  Won’t be due to called foreign debt, Protocol of Zion, or other favourites.  So is a world slump likely?  How to fend off?  Does my clarification help?

C – I have been looking forward to self-driving cars as a way of avoiding waiting for the Senior’s Bus.  This article has dashed my hopes because it says for our lifetimes these cars will need a human monitor.  As Chernobyl showed and airlines are learning, monitoring, even by trained people, is iffy.  Do you still want only “pretty smart” cars?

D – Basic income is government support for employed people who cannot earn a livable income.  Minimum wage is the requirement that employers pay at least a basic income.  Which, if any, option is best?  Which … worst?

E – Are you fluent in Spanish?  Why?
